Aircraft Spins Wildly into Palm Fronds at Popular Southern California Beach
An aircraft soaring over a popular southern California coastline unexpectedly began spiraling out of control, ultimately losing altitude and smashing into a row of palm groves as beachgoers looked on.
Videos uploaded on the internet capture the aircraft commencing to spiral over the shoreline then falling near the edge of the shore, where it ends up lodged among palms and a set of stairs adjacent to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Update
Local firefighters said five individuals were taken to hospital involving two individuals who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” after the incident on that day.
Three individuals on the street were hurt. Information on their condition were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
